Dr Michael E. Mann
Presidential Distinguished Professor of Earth & Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania and author of 'Our Fragile Moment: How lessons from the Earth's past can help us survive the climate crisis'
"If you’re looking for a great introduction to the climate crisis for a young person in your life, look no further than Desiree Izecksohn’s wonderful new graphic novel. Ideal for kids in the 10-12 age range, it manages to tell the whole story—the science, the impacts, and the policy and political dimensions—in a compelling way, keeping it pitched at a level that’s appropriate for grade schoolers."
High school student
"The book is very good, I really liked the way it shows how we can change the world. It inspired me a lot because I am a biotechnology student and it is helping me to have ideas for my final high school thesis."

As a sustainability expert I focus on inspiring people to work for the environmental cause by creating platforms and educational material that give young people the right tools, creating a positive snowball effect.
I founded the Penn Sustainability Consulting (PSC) club in 2020 while I was an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania. PSC is an avenue for students to gain real world experience while helping nonprofit and for-profit organizations achieve their sustainability goals. My second project is a graphic novel about environmental issues for kids, empowering them to fight climate anxiety and take action to save the planet.
I hold a Masters and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and I have experience working on sustainability and circular economy consulting in the US, Spain and the Netherlands.
